South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies paid a visit to Macmillan Cancer’s mobile information service last week – as it spent the day based in Barry.
The bus – known as “Bronwen” – has now been running for a year – and tours communities across Wales to provide information, advice and support to people affected by cancer.
On Friday 23rd November – the dedicated team were hosted by ASDA on Barry waterfront – and Mr Davies popped along to learn more about the service.
Mr Davies said, “Sadly – cancer is a disease that 1 in 2 of us will get – and it is vital those affected and their families get the help and support they need.
“Macmillan do a lot of great work – and Bronwen is the latest of many fantastic initiatives. It is vital people can access medical, financial, emotional and practical advice – and the on board team are well equipped to provide it.
“It was really beneficial to go along while Bronwen visited Barry – and I’d like to thank the team at Macmillan – as well as ASDA – for making it possible.”
