South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies has praised the “huge talent” of pupils at Llancarfan Primary School – after receiving many outstanding entries in his annual Christmas card competition.
Mr Davies – who is backing the campaign against the closure of the school – tasked pupils of all age groups with designing the cards.
After a tough decision – the winning entries were year 6 pupil Henry Wilding Owen (aged 11) and year 5 pupil Arianne Barratt (aged 10).
Mr Davies popped into the school on Wednesday 19th December to present Henry and Arianne with their prizes – and wish staff, pupils and parents a very merry Christmas.
Mr Davies said, “It was a pleasure to pop into Llancarfan School – along with prizes for Henry and Arianne for their winning designs.
“I received several fantastic entries – and it was not an easy task to pick out a winner.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took part – and wish all parents, teachers and pupils a very merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.”
