The disposable incomes of people living in the Vale of Glamorgan has grown significantly faster than those in London according to the latest official UK Government statistics.
For residents in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff, Gross Disposable Household Income rose by around £500 between 2012 and 2013.
According to the report, disposable income rose from £15,999 per person in 2012 to £16,520 in 2013.
Regional AM and Vale resident, Andrew RT Davies, said:
“This is definitely good news for people living in South Wales and indeed here in the Vale of Glamorgan.
“Vale families now have around £500 more cash in their pockets than they did a year ago and it’s further evidence of the economic recovery.
“Whilst it has been a tough few years for hardworking families it is good to see that incomes are growing and I am optimistic that things will continue to improve under this Conservative-led Government.”
