Commenting on the news that the UK Conservative Government is to move a new HMRC headquarters to the centre of Cardiff, South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies has welcomed the announcement and has said it demonstrates a commitment to Wales.
Mr Davies said, “The Central Square development marks the latest step in the development of Cardiff City Centre – and I am delighted to see the Conservative Government delivering the biggest office deal ever in Wales.
“For a long time, the area around Central Square has been underwhelming at best – and it is the first thing any visitors to Cardiff see when they arrive into the city by train.
“It is vital we change that perception, and the Central Square development will do just that. It will transform the area – and this £100million project is a clear sign Cardiff is open for business.”
