Davies "proud" to take on vice-president's role

South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies has spoken of his immense pride – after being named vice president of Glamorgan YFC. 


Mr Davies – who has long had a background in the young farmers’ – said he was “hugely honoured” to be asked – and looked forward to helping the county organisation in any way he can.


Mr Davies said, “I have long been involved with the young farmers’ in Glamorgan – and I am extremely proud to have been asked to serve as vice president.


“I look forward to supporting the 7 member clubs throughout my term as vice president – as we look to deliver a bright future for the next generation of young farmers.


“Having last week been appointed Shadow Cabinet Secretary for the Environment – it really feels like I’m returning to my roots – and it is fantastic to have the opportunity to make a difference for Welsh agriculture.”
